Connect Four 3D — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026

Connect Four 3D is a free game supported by advertising, with optional one-time in-app purchases. It requires no account registration and asks for no personal details. This page describes the data the game handles, who it is shared with, and why.

What the game stores on your device

Your settings (sound, haptics, theme, disc colors, reduced motion), your personal win/loss/draw counts, your Grid Points and rank progress, your puzzle streaks, your chosen display name, and a flag remembering that you've seen the tutorial. This data stays on your device and is removed by uninstalling the app or clearing the site's browser data.

Ads

The game shows occasional full-screen ads between games, and offers optional "watch an ad for a reward" prompts. Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC).

To serve ads, AdMob collects and processes technical and device information, which may include your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device model and operating system version, general (non-precise) location derived from your IP address, and information about your interaction with the ads shown. Google may use this data to select ads, measure their performance, and limit how often you see the same ad. Depending on your settings and region, this may include personalized advertising.

You can limit ad personalization at any time through your device settings: on Android, Settings → Google → Ads, where you can also reset or delete your advertising ID. Google's own explanation of how it uses data from apps that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Buying the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase stops all ads permanently on that Google account.

In-app purchases

The game offers optional one-time purchases (Remove Ads, a disc Color Pack, and a Founder's Badge). Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing and managed through RevenueCat, Inc., which records which items you own so your purchases can be restored on a new device.

Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. The game never sees or stores your card number, billing address, or any payment credentials. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and the purchase record associated with it.

No gameplay progress, rank, or Grid Points can be purchased — purchases affect ads and cosmetics only.

What the game stores online (only if you play online)

Online multiplayer runs on Google Firebase. When you tap an online mode, the game signs you in anonymously with Firebase Authentication, which assigns a random guest identifier (an anonymous UID). No email address, phone number, real name, or other account information is requested or collected.

While you play online, the following is stored in Firebase so your opponent's device can see the game: your anonymous UID, the display name you chose (or the random guest name the game generated), the moves and board state of the match, your rating, and a temporary online/offline presence flag that is removed when you disconnect. Your display name is visible to the person you play against.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the game registers a device token with Firebase Cloud Messaging so it can tell you when it's your turn, when an opponent has been found, or when a match is waiting on you. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings; the token is discarded when you do.

Analytics

The game records anonymous gameplay events (game finished, puzzle solved, rank reached, achievement unlocked) through Google Analytics for Firebase. These are aggregate counts used to understand which parts of the game are played, and are not linked to any identity we could look up.

What is never collected

No precise location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone or camera access, no email address or phone number, no payment details, and no chat or free-text messages between players (display names only). Nothing is sold to third parties.

Children

Connect Four 3D is not directed at children under 13 and is listed for a 13+ audience. Because the game shows advertising and offers in-app purchases, it should not be used by children under 13.

Service providers

The game relies on the following third parties, each of which processes data on the game's behalf:

Data deletion

Anonymous game records aren't linked to any identity we could look up — deleting the app (or clearing browser data) severs the link between your device and your anonymous UID. To request removal of a specific finished game record or of the data associated with your anonymous UID, contact the address below; include the room code of a match you played so the record can be located. Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat are retained as required for refunds, tax, and accounting.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who it is shared with, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
